Campo de’ Fiori, the Ghetto and around
This southern slice of Rome’s historic core lies between Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and the river Tevere. It’s more than a working quarter –less monumental, with Campo de’ Fiori full of fruit and vegetable stalls in the morning and plenty of Bar and Clubs in the night. To the east it merges into the gloomy streets the Old Jewish Ghetto and the city’s giant central Synagogue, while just north of here there is Largo Argentina a ancient Roman site.
